Using this page you can select recipes based on keywords (just type these into the text box, below), with the ability to narrow your search by meal type, historical period (so, for example, you can search just for Ancient Roman recipes), narrowing your search to a specific text field, or select a specific meal or recipe type (or use a mixture).

You can also specify whether to search for all words (in this case each keyword you type is searched across all text fields), search for any word you type (so if a search hits just one word that hit and all other hits are returned). You can also specify an exact match so, for example, if you search for 'steak and kidney' then only those recipe entries that have that exact phrase with the words in that order, is returned.
