As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Tamari recipes added to this site.

These recipes, all contain Tamari as a major wild food ingredient.

Tamari is a form of soy sauce that's made without wheat. As a result it's free of gluten and is suitable for those with wheat allergies or coeliac disease.



Tamari is very dark in colour and has a much richer flavour than ordinary soy sauce. As a result it's very useful in marinades, dressings and dips. Though nowhere near as flavourful, dark soy sauce can be used as a substitute.
