Ingredients:

2 rump steaks (about 225g each)
1 tbsp English mustard
30g butter
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, de-seeded and sliced
1 tomato, thinly sliced
100g mozzarella cheese, grated
3 tbsp tomato chutney
4 large pitta breads
salt and freshly-ground black pepper

Method:

Spread the steaks with the mustard then season liberally and fry until cooked to your liking. Allow to cool then cut at an angle into thin strips.

Melt the butter in a pan and use to cook the onion and bell pepper until soft. Season to taste then combine in a bowl with the meat, cheese, tomato and chutney. Now cut each pitta bread in half crossways and use the meat mixture as a filling. Place in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours (to help the filling stay together).

When ready to cook, coat the outside of each pitta parcel with some butter then half-wrap in foil and cook either on a hot barbecue or under the grill until the cheese has melted and the outside of the pita breads are lightly browned.
