Deviled Dungeness Crab is a traditional American recipe for a classic dish of Dungeness crab meat cooked in a spiced mix of breadcrumbs, oil and milk that's stuffed back into the crab shell and grilled (broiled) to finish and which are sometimes served instead of turkey for Thanksgiving on the Western seaboard of America. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic American version of: Deviled Crab.

Ingredients:
450g crab meat (for how to make, see the article on how to prepare a Dungeness crab)
90g breadcrumbs
1 tbsp dried oregano, crumbled
1 tsp smoked Spanish paprika
1 tsp (heaped) mustard powder
1 tsp sea salt
1 serrano chilli, finely chopped
100g onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
60ml olive oil
60ml whole milk
2 tbsp dry sherry
6 cleaned crab shells, to serve
Method:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and set aside for 15 minutes to allow the flavours to infuse.
After this time, pack the mixture loosely into the cleaned crab shells then sit these on a baking tray. Transfer to an oven pre-heated to 180°C and bake for about 35 minutes, or until the crab mixture is heated through and golden brown on top.
