Ingredients:
1 tsp olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
800g red kidney beans, cooked
400g black beans, cooked
450g tinned chopped tomatoes (with juice)
120ml tomato purée
100ml water
1 tbsp runny honey
2 jalapeño chillies, finely chopped
2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
salt and black pepper, to taste
Method:
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and use to fry the onion and garlic until just softened (about 6 minutes). Add the beans and tomatoes then stir-in the remaining ingredients and season to taste.
Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer then cover and cook for about 20 minutes. Serve on a bed of rice.
