Lagman Spice Blend

Originally a Kyrgyz spice mixture used to flavour the meat, vegetable and pasta dish, lagnan, it's now used in the cuisines of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Uyghurstan and Afghanistan.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Sea salt
2 tbsp garlic powder
3 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp wheat flour
2 tbsp dried parsnip root, ground to a powder
1 tbsp ground coriander seeds
2 tbsp chmeli-suneli
2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp ground cumin seeds
1 tbsp dried coriander leaves, crumbled
2 tsp chilli powder

Method:

Simply mix all the ingredients in a bowl then spoon into a jar with an air-tight lid.

Store in a cool, dark place where it should keep good for up to 3 months.
