This is a classic lactose-free milk substitute made with cooked oats and thickened with a banana. Oat milk is excellent as a breakfast milk.
Ingredients:
1l cold water
1 ripe banana
280g cooked oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
pinch of salt (optional)
sugar, to taste (optional)
Method:
Place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate until needed. Shake well before use.
