Jack O'Lantern Pizza is a modern American recipe for a classic Halloween dish of a pizza with a thick topping that's arranged to look like a Jack O'Lantern pumpkin. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic American version of: Jack O'Lantern Pizza.
Prepare the dough (shape into a round that's slightly extended in the middle, to resemble a pumpkin shape) then transfer to an oven pre-heated to 210°C and bake for about 5 minutes, or until the crust just begins to brown. Remove from the oven and set aside.
When cooled spread the pizza sauce over the base then ad the sliced pepperoni (reserve some of the slices). Combine the cheeses then spread over the top of the pizza, ensuring that the entire surface is covered.
De-seed the bell pepper then cut the flesh into very thin strips. Arrange these from the top to the base of the pizza round so that they resemble the green segment indentations on a pumpkin. Now take the remaining pepperoni slices and cut these into the shapes of the eyes, nose and mouth of the Jack-o-Lantern.
Transfer to an oven pre-heated to 200°C and bake for about 20 minutes, or until done. Bring to the table whole (so everyone sees the effect), slice into wedges and serve.
