Ingredients:

1 Devil's Food Cake Mix Cake or yellow cake mix cake
double batch of vanilla buttercream icing
enough chocolate finger biscuits to line the sides of the cake
white decorating icing
12 double finger kit-kat bars (or use oval biscuits chocolate coated on one side)
3 crunch-style bars (any chocolate bars with a knobbly top)
gummy worms and gummy bugs

Method:

Prepare the cake according to the recipe directions (or according to the packet directions, if using store-bought) and bake in a rectangular baking tin (about 30 x 25cm). Allow to cool completely in the tin then turn out onto a serving plate.

Cover the cake with the buttercream icing, making certain that your ice the top of the cake much thicker than normal, as the chocolate 'tombstones' will be pushed into this. Now unwrap the kit-kat bars and use the decorating icing to write spooky words like 'BOO', 'RIP' or to make cobweb shapes on the smooth side of the bars. Set aside for a few minutes for the writing to dry before pushing the bars into the icing on the cake so they stand up. Now cut the crunch bars into 2 or 3cm lengths and set these in front of the gravestones to represent grave dirt.

Add the gummy worms and gummy bugs to the top of the cake then take the chocolate fingers and press these around he sides of the cake to make a fence.
