Ingredients:
5-6 fresh or dried avocado leaves.
500ml boiling water
Method:
Add the avocado leaves to a warmed teapot or bowl. Pour over the 500ml boiling water.
Strain into your favourite mug or into two teacups. If desired, stir in a teaspoon of honey or a squeeze of lemon to brighten the flavour.
For a spicier tea, add a thin slice of fresh ginger or a few crushed cardamom pods.
To prepare an iced version, double the quantity of leaves and steep for 10 minutes; cool, then pour over ice and garnish with mint.
