As well as displaying recipes by name, country and region of origin I am now planning a whole series of pages where recipes can be located by meal type and main ingredient. This page gives a listing of all the Satay recipes added to this site.
These recipes, all contain Satay as a major wild food ingredient.
Satay is a south-east Asian speciality which is eaten across much of Indonesia (its original home), Thailand and Malaysia. In this dish small pieces of marinated meat or fish are skewered on small wooden sticks and grilled or barbecued. This started as a street food but it makes an excellent starter or a barbecue dish. Typically it is served with a spicy peanut sauce.
