Pe Nyat (Beans Curry) is a traditional Myanmar (from Burma) recipe for a classic curry of fresh beans in an oil, water, onion and turmeric base. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic Myanmar version of: Beans Curry (Pe Nyat).

Ingredients:
150ml oil
625ml water
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp salt
4 onions, sliced
500g lablab beans (or any other fresh beans)
Method:
Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions and turmeric and fry for about 6 minutes, or until the onions are crisp. Remove the onions with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Combine the beans, salt and water with the oil remaining in the pan. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes, or until the beans are tender.
Turn into a serving dish and sprinkle over the fried onions. Serve immediately.
