Ingredients:
1kg tuna (or any fish) with bones removed minced
2-3 large onions, chopped and then minced into the fish
2 tsp salt
1 tsp curry powder (optional)
8 green bananas
oil for frying
Method:
Mince together the fish and onions into a bowl, then mix in the salt and curry powder.
Ensure you mix everything thoroughly and have a pot of water boiling nearby.
Taking 1 tbsp of the mixture at a time, and using wet hands shape the mixture into balls and drop into the boiling water. Once all the mixture has been used up boil for at least 15 minutes.
Remove the fish balls with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
In the meantime, bring a pan of salted water to a boil. Add the green bananas and boil for 20-25 minutes, until tender.
Place a large frying pan over medium heat. Add a decent glug of oil and use to fry the fish balls until lightly-browned all over.
Drain the boiled plantains, peel and serve to accompany the fried fish balls.
