Ingredients:
2 tsp fresh ginseng, sliced into thin strips (or 1 tsp dried ginseng)
honey (or sugar), to taste
Method:
Place the ginseng in a non-reactive (glass or ceramic) pan then add 500ml water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce to a simmer.
Allow the mixture to simmer for 15 minutes then strain to a fine-meshed sieve and decant into a coffee mug. Season to taste with honey or sugar and serve.
