Ingredients:
1 banana, frozen
1/2 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
250ml apple juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of freshly-grated nutmeg
ground nutmeg or cinnamon, to garnish
Method:
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth. You can adjust the consistency by adding more or less of the apple.
This smoothie can also be used as a substitute for apple sauce in any recipe. Serve garbished with ground nutmeg or cinnamon, if desired.
