This is a classic Korean dry rub and barbecue seasoning based on mild and colourful gochugaru chilli powder. It has a bold and savoury flavour that will elevate any barbecue dish and is perfect for barbecuing meats, seasoning veggies, or spicing up your favourite stir-fry.
Ingredients:
4 tbsp gochugaru chili powder
4 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
2 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp freshly-ground black pepper
Method:
Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl.
Spoon into a small jar and seal with an air-tight lid. Store in a cool, dark, cupboard where it will keep good for up to 6 months.
