Sift the dry ingredients together and ad 75g of the cheese. Add the milk and mix into a soft dough. Roll the dough on a floured surface until about 2cm thick and cut into rounds with a pastry cutter. Place on a greased baking tray leaving about a 3cm gap between the scones. Sprinkle the tops with the remaining cheese.
Place in an oven pre-heated to 200°C (400°F/Gas Mark 6) and bake for about 15 minutes, or until the scones are golden.
