This is the style of Turkish garlic sauce as you would find in your favourite kebab shop.
Ingredients:
3 garlic cloves, peeled
180ml Mayonnaise
2 tbsp Plain Greek-style yoghurt
2 tsp freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (or olive oil)
½ tsp Za’atar Spice Blend
1/8 tsp (a small sprinkle) of dried oregano, crumbled
Method:
Using a mortar and pestle, smash the garlic cloves into a smooth paste.
Combine the garlic paste, mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, za’atar, and dried oregano in a small bowl. Mix until evenly combined.
Store in a sealed air-tight container in the refrigerator and consume within 5–7 days.
