Ingredients:
1l ripe crowberries
finely-grated zest of 1 orange
500ml water
400g sugar
Method:
Combine the water, orange zest and sugar in a saucepan. Stir well to combine, cover the pot and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Now add the ripe berries, washed and stemmed. Continue cooking until the berries begin to pop. Take off the heat and allow to cool. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Use as a sweet dessert sauce. This goes very well over ice cream.
