Cobweb Cookies is a modern American recipe for a classic Halloween snack of batter fried in a pan in the shape of a spider's web. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic American version of: Cobweb Cookies.
Cream together the oil and sugar until pale and creamy. Add the eggs and beat until thoroughly combined then mix in the flour, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract.
Lightly grease a non-stick pan then pour the cookie batter into a squeeze bottle fitted with a narrow tip. Working as quickly as you can, squeeze out four thin lines of batter that intersect at a common centre point to form a 'star'. Now draw loops to connect the star lines so that you begin to build up a cobweb pattern. Cook for about 60 seconds, or until the batter is a light brown then remove from the frying pan with a spatula and set aside to cool as you make the next cobweb cookie.
