Separately fry the ingredients in a large frying pan until well browned. Mix the ingredients together and grind to a powder. To use, add 3 tbsp of the Tom Brown mixture to 600ml water. Add a pinch of salt and continue stirring until it has reached the desired thickness. Add sugar or milk, to taste.
This mixture is typically prepared well in advanced in Nigeria and it's stored for times where more traditional foods are scarce.
