Sos Ti-malice (Ti-malice Sauce) is a traditional Haitian recipe for a classic hot sauce made with a mix of hot chillies, onions and garlic in a lemon and oil base. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic Haitian version of: Ti-malice Sauce (Sos Ti-malice).

Ingredients:
2 tsp hot chillies, finely chopped (habaneros, typically)
1 large onion, chopped
70g shallots or spring onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
120ml lemon juice (or lime juice)
120ml oil
salt and freshly-ground black pepper
Method:
Combine the onion and lemon juice in a bowl then set aside to marinate for 2 hours. After this time combine all the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil and continue boiling for about 10 minutes, or until the chillies are tender.
Take off the heat then allow to cool then transfer to a clean and dry glass jar. Store in the refrigerator until needed.
