Soya (Grilled Beef, Cameroon Style): A Cameroonian recipe for a dish of beef in a peanut and spice marinade that's cooked on a barbecue and then cooled in the marinade before slicing and serving.
Combine the bouillon cube, peanuts, ginger, garlic, paprika, chilli, salt, cinnamon and oil in a blender. Process until smooth.
Pour the meat over the marinade and massage in with your fingers. Cover and set aside to marinate for 1 hour, turning every 20 minutes to ensure that the eat marinates evenly.
After this time drain the meat (reserve the marinade) and place on a hot barbecue and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the meat is nicely charred on the outside, but still rare in the centre.
Dip the meat back in the marinade and coat on all sides. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
