Method:

In a bowl, combine the dry baking mix, chilli powder, chilli flakes and cheese until thoroughly mixed. Now add the sourdough starter and mix until thoroughly combined. Add just enough water to allow you to bring the mixture together as a firm dough then shape into a ball and turn onto a lightly-floured work surface.

Knead the dough lightly then pat out to a block about 1.2cm thick. Cut this into rounds using a 4cm round pastry cutter and place the rounds on a lightly-greased baking tray. Cover with a clean tea towel and set aside in a warm place for 30 minutes then place in an oven pre-heated to 160°C and bake for about 20 minutes, or until nicely golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool then serve.
