Ingredients:
200ml water
250ml milk
120ml oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
600g flour (about)
4 tbsp honey
150g sugar
a pinch of cinnamon
Method:
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, adding enough flour to form a paste. Cover and set aside to rest for an hour. When the hour is up heat oil to a depth of about 2cm in a wok or deep pan then gather a little of the paste in floured hands and shape into balls (add a little more flour if the paste is too wet).
Flatten these with your fingers and add a few at a time to the hot oil. Fry until crisp then drain, sprinkle with a little icing sugar and serve.
