Ingredients:

2 tbsp ground achiote seeds (or use sweet paprika)
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground coriander seeds
1 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tbsp granulated onion
1 tbsp dried oregano, finely crumbled
1 tbsp dried parsley
½ tsp ground turmeric
1 tbsp fine sea salt
1 tsp ground black pepper

Method:

In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients until thoroughly combined.

Transfer the sazón to an airtight container and store it in a cool, dark place.

For most recipes, use about 1½ tsp of this homemade sazón to replace one packet of store-bought seasoning. It's perfect for flavouring meats, beans, soups, stews, and rice dishes.
