Tear the bread and drop in a large mixing bowl. Add the milk and egg and mix then add the meat and seasonings. Mix thoroughly. Press tightly into a loaf tin and place in a shallow baking pan. Place in an oven pre-heated to 180°C (350°F/Gas Mark 4) and bake for 1 hour. Allow to cool a little, tip out of the tin, cut and serve.
