Pickapeppa Sauce is a unique and flavourful condiment that has gained popularity worldwide for its versatility and mouth-watering taste. This homemade sauce is a blend of various ingredients, including hot chilli peppers, mustard, soy sauce, lime juice, and ketchup, which come together to create a rich and tangy flavour profile. With a medium level of heat, Pickapeppa Sauce is perfect for adding a kick to various dishes, from meats to vegetables and even as a dip.

Ingredients:

12 dried hot chilli peppers, crushed in a mortar, seeds and stems removed and crushed
1/2 tsp ground mustard seeds
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp lime juice
60ml ketchup
1 tsp salt
2 tsp brown sugar
250ml dry sherry

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a jar and refrigerate for at least a week to allow the mixture to mature.

Shake the bottle at least once a day to ensure the flavours are evenly distributed.
