Ingredients:
1kg guavas
6 tsp (heaped) sugar (or to taste)
Method:
Quarter the guavas and add to a large pan along with just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer then cover and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the fruit is soft.
Allow the mixture to cool then pass through a sieve, pressing the fruit pulp through with the back of a spoon. Sweeten to taste then chill in the refrigerator before serving.
