Golabjamoun (Sweet Potato Cakes) is a traditional Zambian recipe for a classic dish of sweet potatoes boiled in milk thickened with flour and flavoured with sugar and cinnamon that are shaped into balls and deep fried before serving. Peel the sweet potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in the milk until soft and tender. Mash the sweet potatoes into the milk at this point then add the cinnamon and flour. Knead into a dough and shape into balls.
Deep fry in oil until golden brown then drain on kitchen paper and serve.
