This is an excellent breakfast recipe, a nest of bread, cheese and bacon in which an egg is cracked with the whole thing being cooked in an air fryer. To make this you need something like a small square plate or dish where you can pack in the bread to leave a hollow in the middle. I’m giving the instructions for only one of these, though I can cook two at once in my air fryer.

Ingredients:

1 slice of bread (white or brown)
1 egg
2 bacon rashers
Salt and freshly-ground black Pepper to taste
Mixed Herbs (optional)

Method:

Take a slice of bread and press it with a cup or bowl with a flat bottom to make a hollow space.

Place a slice of bread on a flat surface add the cheese, add the slice of bacon on top of the bread-forming a border. Carefully crack an egg into the middle. Dust salt, black pepper, and mixed herbs over the egg.

Place it carefully in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C (355°F) for 10 minutes.

Remove the bacon and eggs toast from the air fryer. Plate, serve and enjoy.
