Asparagus is a vegetable that works very well when fried – griddled asparagus anyone? So, there is no reason why asparagus should not work well in the air fryer too… And it does. This means that you can cook a steak and accompany it with asparagus… all in your air fryer. What’s not to love?!

Ingredients:

250g (9 oz) Asparagus
Salt and freshly-ground black Pepper
Extra Virgin Olive Oil Spray
1 tbsp Butter
30g (1 oz) Grated Cheese

Method:

Snap the bottoms off the asparagus and season with salt and pepper.

Transfer to your air fryer basket, making that that they all fit in a single layer, then spray with extra virgin olive oil. Air-fry for 8 minutes at 180°C (360F).

Remove the asparagus and add a layer of foil in the air fryer basket. Return the asparagus back back to the basket then dot with small pieces of butter and scatter over the grated cheese.

Air fry for a further 3 minutes at 200°C (400F) before serving.
