Curwch y tatws nes yn llyfn yna ychwanegwch gweddill y cynhwysion a cymysgwch yn drwyadl. Trowch y gymysgfa i dun torth wedi ei iro. Gwastadwch ben y deisen cyn ei osod mewn popty wedi ei gyn-gynhesu i 200°C. Pobwch am 10 munud yna trowch y popty i lawr i 160°C a chraswch y deisen am tua 80 munud yn hirach.
Gadewch i'r deisen oeri yn y tun am 10 munud yna trowch are resel gwifren i oeri cyn ei dorri yn dafellau, ei daenu gyda menyn a'i weini. Gellir gweini y deisen tatws yn oer neu yn boeth.

Mash and beat the potatoes until smooth then add all the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Turn the mixture into a well-greased loaf tin. Level the top of the cake before transferring to an oven pre-heated to 200°C. Bake for 10 minutes then turn down the oven temperature to 160°C and bake for 80 minutes longer.
Allow the cake to cool in its tin for 10 minutes then turn onto a wire rack and allow to cool before slicing, spreading with butter and serving. The potato cake can be served either hot or cold.
