Cynhwysion:
400g o dail danadl poethion
1l o ddŵr
siwgr (400g i bob 500ml o hylif)
Dull:
Dewiswch benau danadl ifanc, golchwch nhw'n drylwyr yna rhowch mewn padell ac ychwanegwch 1l o ddŵr. Dewch â'r cyfan i ferwi, gostyngwch i fudferwi, gorchuddiwch â chaead a choginiwch am 60 munud.
Hidlwch trwy ridyll, arllwyswch yr hylif yn ôl i mewn i'r sosban ac yna dewch yn ôl i fudferwi a choginiwch, heb ei orchuddio, am 60 munud. Mesurwch y cyfaint ac yna cymysgwch 400g o siwgr ar gyfer pob 500ml o hylif.
Rhowch o'r neilltu i oeri'n llwyr cyn potelu. Oerwch yn yr oergell cyn ei weini.

English Translation
This drink was recognized as a tonic with special properties for purifying the blood. This recipe comes from Llandovery, Carmarthen.
Ingredients:
400g young nettle leaves
1l water
sugar (400g per 500ml liquid)
Method:
Pick young nettle tops, wash them thoroughly then place in a pan and add 1l water. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, cover with a lid and cook for 60 minutes.
Strain through a sieve, pour the liquid back into a pan then bring back to a simmer and cook, uncovered, for 60 minutes. Measure the volume then blend in 400g sugar for every 500ml liquid.
Set aside to cool completely then bottle. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
