Ingredients:

900g green tomatoes, finely chopped
900g onions, finely chopped
1.4kg apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped
225g sultanas
340g brown sugar
vinegar

Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and cover with the vinegar. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and cook for about 2 hours. Take off the heat and allow the mixture to cool a little before bottling in jars that have been sterilized and baked in an oven pre-heated to 120°C for 10 minutes.

Seal with vinegar-proof lids then store in a cool, dark, cupboard for at least three weeks to mature before using.
