Cynhwysion:

25g o fenyn
1 nionym bychan wedi ei dorri'n fân
2 cennin (gwyn yn unig) wedi ei dorri
1l stoc llysiau neu giw iâr
450g o datws wedi eu torri'n denau
1 deilen bae
dyrned o bersli fres wedi ei dorri'n fân
dyrned mawr o gennin syfi wedi eu torri'n fân
55ml o hufen sengl
60g caws wedi ei ratio
halen a phupur i flasu

Dull:

Toddwch y menyn mewn sosban ddofn a ffriwch y noinyn a'r cennin yn ysgafn o dan gaead (peidiwch a'u brownio). Ychwnegwch y stoc, tatws, deilen bae a'u berwi nes fod y tatws yn dechrau toddi i fewn i'r dŵr. Ychwanegwch yr halen a'r pupur gan dynnu'r sosban oddi ar y tân. Gadewch iddo oeri cyn ei dywallt i brosesydd bwyd (tynnwch allan y ddeilen bae) a'i hylifo. Ychwanegwch y persli a'r cennin syfi cyn hylifo unwaith eto. Gweiniwch mewn powlenni cynnes gyda dyrned o gaws ac ychydig o hufen.

English Translation


Ingredients:

25g butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 leeks (white part only), sliced
1l vegetable or chicken stock
450g potatoes, thinly sliced
1 bay leaf
bunch of fresh parsley, finely shredded
large bunch of chives, chopped
50ml single cream
60g grated cheese
salt and black pepper

Method:

Melt the butter in a deep pan and use to fry he onion and leeks gently under a lid until soft but not coloured. Add the potatoes, stock, bay leaf and boil them until the potatoes are soft and begin to melt into the water. Season with salt and pepper and take the pan off the heat.

Allow to cool before pouring into a food processor (remove the bay leaf at this point). Add the parsley and chives and process once again. Serve in warmed soup bowls topped with a swirl of cream and a handful of grated cheese.
