Sorbet coco guadeloupéen (Guadeloupean Coconut Sorbet) is a traditional Guadeloupean recipe for a classic mix of condensed milk, coconut mili, vanilla, cinnamon, lime zest and bitter lemon that's churned in an ice cream maker to prepare. Ingredients:
400g tin of sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp of vanilla paste
400g tin of coconut milk
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
finely-grated zest of 1/4 lime
1 tsp of bitter almond
Method:
Mix together the coconut milk and sweetened condensed milk, adding a little regular milk if it's too sweet.
Mix in a little cinnamon, the zest of 1/4 lime, 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste, and 1 tsp of bitter almonds.
Place the mixture in the ice cream maker (set to low) and churn for 30 minutes.
