This is a recipe for an more complex version of soyu chicken dish. Shoyu is 'soy sauce' and this recipe is easy to make and tastes great. It's excellent for Luaus and barbecues. I also have a simpler recipe at: Easy Shoyu Chicken Recipe.
Ingredients:
2kg Chicken thighs, skinned and boneless
350ml brown sugar
500ml soy sauce
800ml chicken broth
60ml white wine
1 tin crushed pineapple (with juice)
120ml vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp coarsely-ground black pepper
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
chopped spring onion tops
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tbsp ground ginger
Method:
Wash and drain the chicken thighs then combine all the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Add the chicken thighs to a pot and pour the sauce over the top. Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
