This is a middle-eastern recipe for a dry roasted mixture of sesame seed, caraway and anise work very well together for sprinkling on salads, Asian dishes, baked goods and many other culinary creations that benefit from just a little perk up of vibrant toasty flavour.

Ingredients:

4 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp caraway seeds
1 tbsp anise seeds

Method:

Place a dry pan over medium heat. Add the sesame seeds, caraway seeds and anise seeds. Dry roast, turning constantly for a few minutes, until lightly coloured and aromatic.


Turn onto a place and allow to cool before storing in a jar.
