If using fresh serrated wrack place in a pan and add just enough water to cover. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 15 minutes then strain and serve.
If using dried serrated wrack place the seaweed in a large bowl or measuring jug then make up to 1l with boiling water. Cover and set aside to steep over night. The following day, strain the liquid (discard the seaweed — it makes excellent garden fertilizer) then warm he liquid and serve.
