150g finely-chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tbsp fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper (or more, to taste)
1 whole leg of lamb (about 2.8kg)
250ml double cream
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp cornflour (cornstarch)
2 tbsp water
