This is a classic example of Italo-Eritrean cuisine arising from the Italian colonization of Eritrea. A simple dish of pasta blended with silsi (Eritrean tomato sauce).

Method:

Bring a pan of salted water to a boil. Drop in the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions (about 12 minutes).

Drain the pasta, return to the pan and add in the silsi (Eritrean tomato sauce) and toss to coat the pasta in the sauce. Once the pasta is nicely coated and the sauce is hot, serve.
