This is a wild food twist on the traditional Japanese salted sesame seed condiment, gomasio.
Ingredients:
3 sheets nori
6 bsp unhulled sesame seeds
1 tbsp black sesame seeds (opt)
2 tbsp dried nettle leaves, crumbled
2 tbsp nettle seeds
1/2 tsp sea salt
Method:
Tear the nori into small pieces. Place these in a spice grinder and pulse a few times to break it down into small pieces (but don't render to a powder).
Tip into a bowl then mix in the remaining spices and salt. Working in batches, transfer the mixture to the spice grinder and pulse until the sesame seeds have been broken down somewhat. Transfer to an air-tight container then process the next batch.
Continue until all the mixture has been processed.
