Mandazi is a traditional Ugandan recipe for a classic snack of a fritter made from a pastry of corn meal and wheat flour bound with egg and milk that's fried in oil before serving. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic Ugandan version of: Mandazi.

Ingredients:
100g corn meal
30g wheat flour
20g sugar
1 egg
125ml milk
oil for deep frying
Method:
Mix together the flours and sugar. Add the egg and milk and stir to form a viscous dough. Meanwhile heat the oil in a pan to a depth of about 6cm.
Once the oil is hot add the batter 1 tbsp at a time and fry until golden. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on kitchen paper and serve once all the mandazi are done.
