Liepžiedžių arbata (Linden Flower Tea) is a traditional Lithuanian recipe for a classic dish of thinly sliced beef stuffed with mushrooms and onions, rolled and cooked in a stock base. This linden blossom tea can be prepared any time of year using fresh or dried linden flowers.

Ingredients:

15 dried linden blossom sprigs
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp raspberry preserves
500ml (2 cups) boiling water

Method:

Place the linden flowers in a saucepan. Cover with the boiling water, bring to a boil and continue boiling for 3–4 minutes.

Strain the liquid into a mug, sweeten with the honey and raspberry preserves, mixing well to combine. Serve hot.

This drink is traditionally served before bedtime or to warm you up on a cold winter's night.
