Lavender Icing is a traditional American recipe for a classic icing (frosting) for icing sugar, milk and corn syrup flavoured with lavender flowers. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic American version of: Lavender Icing.
Combine the icing sugar and dried lavender flowers in a small plastic bag. Seal and set aside to stand for at least 24 hours. When read to use sift the mixture into a medium bowl, discarding the lavender flowers.
Add the milk and syrup, mixing thoroughly until smooth then use to spread evenly over the top of lavender tea biscuits.
