This is a Gloucestershire variant on the traditional Welsh Rarebit (cheese on toast) recipe.
Ingredients:
300ml Ale
225g Gloucestershire Cheese, grated English mustard
Brown Bread
Method:
In an oven-proof dish mix the cheese and ale and add sufficient mustard to suit your taste. Place the dish in an oven pre-heated to 190°C and bake until the cheese has melted.
Cut the Breads into thick slices, toast and pour the melted cheese on top. Serve immediately with a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
