This is a Chinese dessert of a melon and banana fruit salad in a lemon dressing.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp sugar
450g mixed melons, shaped into balls or cubes
2 bananas, thinly sliced at a bias
juice of 1 lemon

Method:

Arrange the melon pieces in a bowl and sprinkle over the sugar. Toss the banana slices in the lemon juice then mix with the melons.

Serve the fruit salad immediately.
