Brandy Butter is a traditional British recipe for a classic butter flavoured with sugar, brandy, vanilla and lemon zest that's typically used on hot desserts and mince pies to melt as a sauce. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic British version of: Brandy Butter.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and either beat with an electric whisk or work with the back of a spoon until you have a mixture that's smooth and thoroughly integrated. Spoon into some clingfilm (plastic wrap) and roll into a sausage shape. Tie securely then transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
Traditionally this is served with Christmas plum puddings and mince pies.
