450g o afalau Cox (neu gyffelyb) gyda'r craidd wedi ei dynu o'r afalau cyn eu torri'n fân
175g o flawd codi
175g o gaws Llŷn (neu Cheddar), wedi ei ratio
75g o ddatys wedi eu torri
75g o siwgwr brown
50g o gnau Ffrengig wedi eu torri
50ml o olew (mae olew hadau grawnwin yn dda)
2 ŵy
1 llwy de o bwodwr pobi
pinsiad o halen

Dull:

Hidlwch y blawd, y powdwr codi a'r halen ynghyd i fowlen cyn ychwanegu'r datys, yr afalau a'r canu Ffrengig. Cymysgwch y cyfan yn dda. Mewn bowlen arall curwch yr olew a'r wyau gyda'u gilydd cyn ychwanegu'r gymysgedd yma at y cynhwysion sych. Trowch y cyfan i gyfuno'n dda. Irwch ddesgil fflan tua 20cm o faint yna trowch hanner y gymysgedd iddo. Gwasgwch hanner y caws am ben y cyfan cyn ychwanegu ail hanner y gymysgedd ac yna gweddill y caws. Rhoddwch y darten mewn popty wedi ie gyn-gynhesu i 180°C a phobwch am tua 45 munud, neu nes fod pen y darten yn teimlo'n gadard i'w gyffwrdd. Gadewch i'r darten oeri am 10 munud yn ya gwienwch yn gynnes.

English Translation


Ingredients:

450g Coxs' apples (or similar), cored and finely chopped
175g self-raising flour
175g Ll᝵n cheese (or Cheddar cheese)
75g chopped dates
75g brown sugar
50g walnuts, chopped
50ml oil (grape seed oil is good)
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt

Method:

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl before adding the dates, apples and walnuts. Mix together thoroughly.

In a separate bowl beat together the oil and eggs then add to the mixture of dried ingredients. Mix thoroughly to combine.

In the meanwhile liberally grease a 20cm flan tin and turn half the mixture into this. Press half the cheese into the top then add the remaining half of the batter and scatter the remaining cheese on top.

Place the tart in an oven pre-heated to 180°C and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top of the tart feels firm to the tough. Allow the tart to cool for 10 minutes then serve warm.
